Actually, I believe Bruce Hungerford considered Brahms student Carl Friedberg his most important teacher, Maestro. There was one very well-known pianist on the faculty of Manhattan School of Music in my day who was famous, or, I should say, infamous for the way he treated many women. I won't print his name here, but he certainly wouldn't get away with such things today.
