We just lost electricity here (about 10 miles south of DC) temporarily. It is back on for now, but maybe not for long. We've had a lot of rain all day, and now we are getting some interesting wind gusts. Friends in the area are reporting large tree limbs down already.

I usually just use fat free half and half (sounds like a contradiction in terms), but on the strength of your recommendation, Lance, I'll do a taste test of Gingerbread and Carmel Apple flavors. Maybe I can convince myself that coffee + flavored CoffeeMate = dessert.

I got my flu shot from the school nurse yesterday. Painless and free, no ill effects the next day.

The one year I did not get a flu shot (somehow the school system didn't offer them that year), I did get the flu. Now I'm a believer and get the shot every year.

I used to love flying, and I still like it--after the plane is in the air. But the hyper-security procedures, lines, waiting, shoes off, shoes on, etc. have really taken the fun out of the airport visit.
