Thanks for posting it. This is one of those kinds of things that I take both seriously and 'with a grain of salt.' I'm assuming there's a lot to what she says, but also wary that it might be at least somewhat exaggerated. What I hope will happen is that it will get enough play that the other side(s)...

I wish this "anti" stuff would stop -- I mean the threads directed against a particular member.

If you don't like his stuff, don't reply to it. The replying encourages it and increases it. If you reply less (or not at all) -- sure, It'll still go on, but it won't be as prominent.

I don't think it is "religious discussions" that we should refrain from. I think it's any kind of obnoxious/provocative/polemic post -- which IMO may be a political post as often as a religious one. And sometimes (rarely) about other subjects also. I like your basic idea, but how about we target it...

Jean -- IMO it's not impossible.

I had a teacher/colleague/friend who believed that.

In any event, I do believe it's likely that there is intelligent life elsewhere. As for the rest of the theory, if I had to bet one way or the other, I'd bet no. But I wouldn't bet everything I had. :)
