Re: Whatever happened to Ralph?

Thanks for the response, Jbuck. I'm very sad to read this. Whenever I visited this site the past few years, I thought what became of our friend? I was afraid that something might have happened. He was a great asset to this site especially in the very early days. Thanks for taking the time to respond...

Whatever happened to Ralph?

I haven't been on this forum much the past few years and when I do drop by, I usually post sporadically then disappear again. So the question I pose is seeing that I couldn't come up with anything via a search of the archives here at CMG is this. Whatever happened to beloved poster Ralph? He was a g...

We had an elderly gentleman who used to live up the street visit the Adirondacks faithfully each year. Sadly he passed a few years ago. His wife still visits and usually spends two months there each summer. I envy her.

Talk Music Forum

Hi fellas. I realize I don't get around these parts too often these days mainly due to an excessive work schedule and the fact the past 8 years I have gotten back into jazz music and don't feel I have much to add to the classical music discussions here sadly. Hopefully, I can somehow find my way bac...

Dorati beat everyone to the punch in the 60s or 70s with his monumental set. I like Adam Fischer's set as well. Another vote for the Adam Fischer set which is a recent purchase for me. While I'm still very early on only 4 or 5 discs in, I'm getting a great deal of enjoyment from hearing this wonder...

Great to see the love for Borodin's 2'nd. When I initially posted this topic, there seemed to be little interest. I thought it was perhaps just me? It's good to see I'm not alone as admirer of this work. Again, it would be great to have the opportunity to hear this performed live. Why it's largely n...
