Lance - I agree. That Kątski (pronouced Kontski, and sometimes spelled that way) CD is a winner. I bought it, and a few others from that Polish label, a few months ago - and have listened countless times. The symphony transcription for piano sextet is a remarkable work (and, oh!, that slow movement).

I realize that downloading is the style now. As for me, I'll stay with CDs as long as they still are produced. I like to have the program notes (especially for new, unknown music) at hand while I am listening. Just a stick-in-the mud, what can I say?
