My Meet-Up Photos

Post by Ralph » Sun May 10, 2009 3:41 pm

Sorry, it took me a week to figure out how to get this URL online. Ignore the first photo of Tassel. I couldn't figure out how to delete it.

Ralph, those photographs are superb and were well worth waiting for, thanks for posting them. Lance's daughter is lovely, she is the spitting image of Lance too.

Geez, thanks Seán. Yes, your photos are excellent. You have a good "flash" on yours. With these smaller digital cameras, you have to wait for the flash to recharge, so I learned. Your colour renditions are excellent - and you also framed them supremely well!

To Lance and Ralph:

Wonderful pictures from both of you - I enjoyed seeing all of them. Thank you for all that effort! No professional photographers need apply when such skilled artists are available on CMG! Lovely memories of a great occasion, and more pictures yet to come, I understand, from Donald Isler, once professional assistance is available to put them online.

Best wishes, Evelyn

Kuhlau

It might be a good idea to store all of the CMG photographs in a Sticky thread?

Oh great, now everyone gets to see the marks of my food-related incident from earlier in the day!! (Boy was that a great meal, though. Whew. Cucumber linguini, who woulda thunk it. I wish I could remember the name of the place. Great place, too. Around 4th and Houston. I'll ask my friends if anyone wants to know.)

Great photos, though, Ralph. Unfortunately, the one of me is accurate as well! :(

I'm interested, but 4th Street and Houston Street are parallel, and Houston runs through Little Italy, so I'm stumped. If it's not too much trouble...

Well, he said 'around' those twain streets, so he did not strictly claim that they intersect . . . .

Very good composition and lighting. They tell a story of folks having a good time. Thank you for sharing.

It was the Cub Room Cafe, so apparently we took an extra turn somewhere in our perambulations, because that's south of Houston and not somewhere between Houston and 4th as Karl so cunningly conjectured as my meaning!

If you get the cucumber linguini, though, do wear a bib!!

Thanks! I didn't know about the Cub Room Cafe, but now I've looked it up and it seems to be a really nice place. I like the look of the menu too. 131 Sullivan Street, just south of Houston (SoHo), and convenient to the subway I take into town from Brooklyn.

Is that the No. 2 or 3 that you take? :)
