And I extend my cordial greetings to Henry Slofrstra, one of CMG's kindest long-time members!

Many happy returns of the day, Henry. I'm afraid I have a few years on you, however, going upwards, of course! Judging by Henry's appearance, however, he MUST have a picture like Dorian Gray's hidden in his attic.

But if I recall correctly, Henry is a Gemini born in June and he was born in 1953 or 54..... A few more stones to turn....

Under the circumstance I decided I'd better register at ratebach.com without another second's delay. :)

Happy birthday, Henry.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

A very happy birthday, indeed, Henry! Of course, I'm no authorty on your age, but if that thread heading is correct, you looked pretty darn well preserved at the meetup last year. Keep up the good work!

Well, this is a nice surprise!
I'm sitting inside my trailer late on a Saturday night here at Canyon RV in wonderful Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia. I am actually 56, and as the years advance, it becomes less and less possible to follow my mother's admonition, "act your age".

I am hoping for a yak for my birthday.

THE YAK
By Hilaire Belloc

As a friend to the children commend me the Yak.
You will find it exactly the thing:
It will carry and fetch, you can ride on its back,
Or lead it about with a string.

The Tartar who dwells on the plains of Thibet
(A desolate region of snow)
Has for centuries made it a nursery pet.
And surely the Tartar should know!

Then tell your papa where the Yak can be got,
And if he is awfully rich
He will buy you the creature - or else he will not.
(I cannot be positive which.)

I've come to this thread late, as usual, but I hope that yours was a very enjoyable anniversary, Henry!
