In the words of the king in Amadeus......

 If Handel were alive today, he'd be rolling over in his grave! Where's the bass guitar and the bagpipes?

Actually, Corlyss, I think there were some bagpipes in that mix.

I think somebody's music was upside down.

But somehow I don't think this was what he meant.

Okay, I gotta know where that's from?

Someone did a "rock" version of the Messiah back in the 70s or so, with a number of big names. It was execrable. All I can remember about it is that the woman who inspired the song Brown Sugar sang some of the arias.

It seemed not too bad until 0:24. I laugh every time. I think that wrong big note throws the entire choir off also and the timing couldn't be worse, but it's perfect comic timing. I can see the audience going, do you think we should applaud? or laugh?

Have you ever seen this very clever version?

Henry, that's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Ever.

That is the Turtle Creek Chorale, a mostly Gay Men's chorus in Dallas. I had the privilege of singing in a special concert with them a couple of years ago and they are simply amazing.

And this is funny as can be!
