Time for my annual Christmas post
I'm not waiting until tomorrow because I will surely be exhausted. I'm getting a little too old for two Christmas Eve services, now involving separate trips back-and-forth to Warrensburg, one of which begins at 10:30 p.m. I'll get through it, but it is my own version of "Christmas comes but once a year."
I've covered a lot of ground in these posts and am kind of running out of ideas. Here is another selection from the extraordinary King's College Messiah in Holland. It is not from the so-called Christmas section, but it gets the job done.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Thank you, Karl. I told the rector that he was going to have to settle for D'Aquin noels again. I just have no gumption for originality on this occasion. Easter might be a different story.karlhenning wrote:Take care, John, and have a merry!

Happy Christmas to all (to quote the dubious Clement C. Moore).
Good music is that which falls upon the ear with ease, and quits the memory with difficulty.

I know, isn´t it weird?
Even in Mexico City it´s a little warmer than usual for December.
Peace, Health and Joy dear Lenny.
