A very Happy New Year, CMGers!

Post by Lance » Sun Jan 01, 2017 10:53 am

Yes, a new year is upon us. I can't complain too much about 2016, but it is hopeful we are going to have a peaceful, happy and very musical year for all of us in 2017. Thank you for being a part of CMG and hope that we can add to our people list at CMG. We all need to keep our favourite music alive and well as much as possible. BEST TO YOU ALL!

Here's wishing us all a prosperous and contented 2017 (regardless of whatever happens in Washington) and many more years to come.

And the same to you, our dear moderator Lance.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Happy and healthy 2017 to everybody. My third son and his fiancee are both in NYC and were at the 'countdown' in Times Square.

Belle hope they saw it better than the ball we saw drop at 12:00 last night on TV-couldn't make it out as it dropped-second year in a row. Regards, Len

PS-found this link-I have seen it done better.

Reminded me more of the daily opening of the New York Stock Exchange.

I looked everywhere for my son and his girl in that crowd but couldn't see them in your link!!!!

I share your hope for a peaceful year, but I fear it is a forlorn hope. At any rate, I hope its not going to be quite as bad as I suspect it will be. As for music and musical life, I have posted in the thread on what kinds of recording and publishing projects I'd like to see in the coming year.

Lance, best wishes for the New Year and thanks for this forum.

To all members of CMG, let's try to be positive for the New Year. For example, while I am definitely not looking forward to the events on Friday afternoon, January 20, I am eagerly anticipating my first concert of 2017 that evening--a piano recital by one of my favorites, Jeremy Denk.

I hadn't even heard of him until PBS Thirteen NYC arts did a segment on him-it's on/line here. Regards, Len
