A great voice and a fine singer. He was living on borrowed time, and his time ran out. He'll be missed.

This is a tragic loss. He was an exceptional artist and will always remain in my memory as one of the great ones.

Dmitri Hvorostovsky's entire funeral service has been uploaded to the late singer's Facebook page if anybody wants to watch it. Very upsetting, but emphasizing the importance of ritual.
