Maybe Steinway should team up with Toll Brothers in a joint marketing campaign :!:

When I buy the apartment next door.....oh, well, my Board won't allow any pianos in the building now. Mine is grandfathered in for decorative purposes, but it can't be played any more, thanks to new building regulations.

I never heard of such a ridiculous thing as NOT being able to play your piano in your complex. It should be allowed during the day and say, up to about 10pm as other residences have stipulated. Our rights are being taken away from us, one-by-one. Are there others in the building who have pianos as well? You should put up a fight!

When she started to play, Mr. Steinway came down and personally

Since I'm not able to work as a musician due to my sleep disorder and have developed arthritis in my hands, it really doesn't matter to me at this point and hasn't for years. I used to rehearse the singers in my competition here and all I got was complements from those who passed by in the hallway and could hear them through my door. If they ever come after my stereo system (the speakers sit on the floor), then they'll have a fight for sure. I've lived in my building since 1974 and have NEVER had a complaint, so that's not likely!
