Tarrega / Ricci encore

Leonid Kavakos played this Tarrega/Ricci encore (my first hearing) after the Korngold VC at this year's Proms ( the VPO apparently think highly of Kavakos ), here a much younger Kavakos playing it , fww :

I can't determine right at the moment if Ricci, himself, ever recorded this piece. I collect Ruggiero Ricci voraciously. Do you know?

Yes, he apparently did. Search Presto Classics website under “Ricci Tarrega”.

Yes, I checked … it is now only available as a download. I missed that series of CDs when they were available. Thanks for the tip!

I have the Vox Turnabout lp of his Paganini Caprices.

Here is an lp with the Tarrega encore,claimed to be mint, original shrink-wrap , for $ 7 plus s&h:

Ohmygosh! I HAVE that LP! Got it when first issued. It's one nobody has transferred to CD - yet! Many thanks for letting me know!
