HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BARRY!!!!!!!

Post by Ralph » Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:16 am

I sent an e-mail to Senator McCain advising him that today was his acolyte's birthday. I hope he chimes in with birthday greetings.

But I know that all CMG conservatives, liberals and lovers of milk shakes unite in extending a very sincere

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Happy Birthday Barry, I hope that you get presents of Bruckner CDs and the time to listen to them too of course.

Barry, I'm glad I found out (courtesy of Ralph) the date of your birthday in time to wish you a Happy Birthday, a satisfying and fulfilling new year of life (let that be a trend!) and a good supply of gastronomic treats to accompany those Bruckner CDs.

Barry..

Congrats & best wishes to you. Let's try and go to a concert this fall. I promise not to talk politics, just Bruckner vs.Mahler!

Thanks!

Dinner was fantastic. It was also the type of meal I'd only want to have once a year (like Sammy's Roumanian) in terms of how rich it was. My head was kind of spinning by the end. Butter was the main culprit.

Butter equals lots of extra pounds, when you hit Fifty you will enter the first Decade of Decay...and not wishing to drop names, but, a little after 9/11 I had dinner with Pete Townshend at the Plaza Hotel here in New York, (he was playing a 9/11 benefit) i told him the same thing (he and I are ten years apart), and he laughed so loud and so long that Security came to the table to see what was causing all the noise...

Thanks again to all!

Chalkie,
That's why I specified that it's a once-a-year type of meal. I'm guessing that I had more butter in that dinner than I normally do in a month.
