Bigoted Brats on Mein Kampus

Things are going from bad to worse on Mein Kampus. Why are they even there; they'll only need to learn seven words for a successful career: "will that be fries with that today?"

The Right focuses on campus “ brats” to avoid and distract from the criminal slaughter the Right’s Israeli brothers have unleashed on the children of Gaza.

Hmmm. I think you can be justly appalled at the toll in Gaza and still agree with this article, as I do. The question I have in my own mind is, if they are acting against a toll of 30,000+ in Gaza, where were they and what were they saying when 20 times that number were slaughtered in Syria, and 10 times in Yemen. These loathsome ill-educated boors couldn't give a dog's turd for those atrocities, because they were Muslim on Muslim. No Jews to blame there. Or the real genocide in Nigeria, or the Rohingya Muslims in Burma. These causes aren't cool or trendy, you see.

It's not about concern for Palestinian deaths, it's extending the middle finger to their elders that matters. And it was ever thus.

With its support of and arms supply to Israel the US is more directly involved in and complicit in the deaths in Gaza than in deaths in the other causes, as with the US involvement in Vietnam,a major factor in the finger being extended again this time.

There are little children on Mein Kampus at Sydney University shouting "Intifada" and 'from the river to the sea". That makes their propaganda from the cradle absolutely complete. All thanks to the Left side of politics.

Conservatives are much more interested in the welfare of our children and letting them enjoy their childhood, not regarding them as small adults. There are plenty of things to worry about when they grow up as it is. And we wouldn't have started this war for no reason at all which we knew would kill children and civilians. Elon Musk has said Hamas has been spectacularly successful in starting a war where the invaded nation is painted as the bad guy. Come on now, you all hate 'victim blaming'. It takes a certain twisted logic to blame the nation which was at peace before it all started. I guess Hamas is cynical enough to understand the Left side of politics just as I do. If the Left didn't have double standards or hypocrisy it would have nothing at all in the tool kit.

As for Israel's 'treatment' of Gaza; waketh not the sleeping giant. And, by the way, where ARE those hostages? All this misery can be sheeted home to that criminal terrorist group Hamas; they hate Israel more than they like their own people. 'Twas ever thus and ever thus will be. I can't think of any situation in which Hamas would ever listen to the USA, where a boy can be a girl, when you can 'choose' your own gender and when the world is going to end soon because of the climate catastrophe. My guess is that Israel is sending a message to Hamas that they shouldn't try anything like this ever again.

As ever, the key to antisemitism is to found in the cult of perennial victimhood, first and foremost, and the fact that Israel is just not the right kind of 'victim'. (Even if you're a successful female who has made it into a male-dominated arena you can still be regarded as a victim!! Like the word 'survivor', this victimhood schtick has inscribed a bizarre kind of privilege and cachet in its argot.)

Yeah, all the brats:

USA Today May 2:

A Gallup survey released March 27, a day before the Biden campaign’s fundraiser, showed 55% of all Americans disapprove of Israel’s military action. That includes 75% of Democrats, up from the 63% who said the same last November.

I ask again if this is the same research outfit which predicted a win for Mrs. Clinton in 2016?

And, if your stats are correct, they just prove my point about wholesale propaganda anyway. There's never any nuance, any discussion, any complexity or thoughtfulness. Just knee-jerk, easy to reiterate bromides, chants and, of course, cultural appropriation of Palestinian livery!! (Oh, is that back in fashion again??)

The hatred is just off the charts:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xRM74RmamY

Meanwhile, in our centrist national newspaper The Australian this has appeared today. If you fall for your own ideological propaganda there's a very high probability you'll fall for somebody else's. Many of us wonder why surrounding muslim countries won't accept fleeing Palestinians. I guess they know something lots of folks in the west don't.

The opportunity cost of breeding hatred for your neighbour has many dimensions. Not only do you ride around on carts drawn by donkeys, your surrounding potential allies don't trust you either!

Why Israel must destroy Hamas
Concern about the fate of civilians caught up in Israel’s long-anticipated Rafah offensive is legitimate. But it does not negate the fundamental fact that if it is to prevent further barbarity such as that shown by Hamas in its slaughter of 1200 Jews and the kidnap of another 250 on October 7 last year, Israel has no realistic alternative. Now that the offensive has been launched, Israel must do everything possible to minimise civilian casualties. That will be difficult when Hamas’s leaders such as Yahya Sinwar and his four battalions of fighters are planted amid hapless Palestinians and Israeli hostages who are used as human shields.

Taking control of Hamas’s last stronghold is the only way to expedite victory and end the suffering of Gazans caused by Israel’s war of self-defence. The invasion of Rafah was necessitated by the events of October 7. On that day it became impossible for Israel to allow Hamas ever again to control territory or remain in power. To do so would be to allow it to set about planning its next massacre of Jews and continue efforts to destroy the Jewish state. No self-respecting country could allow that. Yet for months Israel has been targeted by US President Joe Biden, Anthony Albanese and others warning against attacking Rafah, while Hamas has dragged out negotiations for a ceasefire with no intention of releasing the hostages. On Monday, the situation changed when Israel served notice it was evacuating 100,000 civilians from Rafah to get them out of the line of looming warfare. That was followed by Hamas saying it had agreed to terms for a unilateral ceasefire negotiated by Egypt and Qatar – including an ultimate total Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in return for the phased released of some Jewish hostages and the mass release of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. Such terms would never be acceptable to Israel.

Former army commander Benny Gantz, a member of Israel’s war cabinet and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s main rival for political power, dismissed the proposal, saying Hamas’s so-called ceasefire terms fall “far from Israel’s necessary requirements” and do not “match the discussion we had up until now”. Mr Biden, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Penny Wong should note that as they react to the Rafah offensive. Hamas’s disgraceful refusal to release the hostages in contravention of humanitarian decency and international law has left Israel with no choice but to launch the offensive.

The sooner the West stops falling for Hamas propaganda, the sooner the war will end. As Cameron Stewart wrote on Tuesday, Israel is now embarked on perhaps the most perilous moment in the war. But it cannot live alongside terrorists hellbent on its destruction and mass murder of Israelis.
