Solomon - an exquisite pianist. I have a recital by him, on the Testament label - of Chopin piano works. The absolute finest piano disc I've ever heard.

Also Taktakishvili's Piano Concerto has been recorded, and it is quite beautiful.

Regarding "Solomon," thank you for pointing this out; I was aware of it but the fingers sometimes do not match the brain!

I'm not familiar with Taktakishvili's First Violin Concerto. Whose performance do you recommend?

About Solomon, he was a pianist's king, doesn't he?
About Takta, I only know (and have) the recording by great
georgian violinist Liana Isakadze with Takta conducting the Radio
and TV URSS orch. It´s a Melodiya LP. Don't know if ever on CD.
The concerto is exceedingly beautiful, and the version, fantastic.
