I'm listening to these two right now and am thoroughly delighted.

(Sawallisch on EMI)
The problem is I flunked intermediate German and the recording comes with no libretto!

An internet search turns up nothing. Certainly someone has taken the time to do a translation. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also check eBay for the original LPs-you may be able get both operas there cheap, and strip the librettos out of the LP boxes.
