I'm a few days late, but I thought I'd respond to a comment made at the Republican Convention (No, this is not a political comment intended for the Corner Pub). Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan, explaining his generational difference from Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, commented that he had a distinctly different playlist. Ryan declared, "My playlist goes from AC/DC to Zeppelin."
Well, I'm not running for office, but for those who wish to know, the playlist on my iPod runs from the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields to [Christian] Zacharias. How about yours?

Re: My play list
I do not have an I-Pod or any mobile music playing device. Just my stereo system--2 IMF Monitor Mk III Improved speakers, an Audionics CC-2 power Amp, a McCormack RLD-1 preamp, and an ARCAM CD-72 CD player.
Don't drink and drive. You might spill it.--J. Eugene Baker, aka my late father
"We're not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term."--Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S. Carolina.
"Racism is America's Original Sin."--Francis Cardinal George, former Roman Catholic Archbishop of Chicago.

Re: My play list
Depends on which iPod we're discussing.
My classical iPod runs from 'ASMF through Zurich Chamber Orchestra', if I sort it by artists, or 'Adams through Zwillich', if I sort it by composer. My everything-other-than-classical iPod runs from Abandon Kansas (an indie Christian rock band) through ZZ Top.
Ryan files Led Zeppelin under 'Z'? Seriously?

Re: My play list
I guess I'm not the only dinosaur here without an ipod.
Since I'm rarely out of the house, I don't use one.
My playlist is my CD collection, which runs from Adams to Zemlinsky and Zwilich.
