Please Explain This Part of the Illegal Immigrants' Issue:

Post by dulcinea » Mon May 18, 2009 1:24 pm

why is Mexico such a big part of it?
Mexico is not a poor country. It has plenty of resources, such as minerals, oil and arable land--and yet it has an economy that is so underdeveloped that it seems that the only Mexican entrepreneurs making any money are the drug people. You might say that Mexico is a man who should live like a millionaire who instead lives like an indigent because he administers his sources of wealth so badly that he gets no benefits from them.

You can read about Mexico's economy and its problems here:

It's not as you think.

If Mexico is the 11th economy in the world, how come the country has such a pitiful international image? Spain, which a hundred years ago had to send workers to Mexico--contrary to today, when Mexicans go to Spain in search of work--, is one of the top 10 economies, yet it has much less resources than Mexico.
