Theda Skocpol analyzes the rise of two significant conservative grassroots groups and the liberal resistance to them

I have been reading this eminently sensible political sociologist in the New Deal liberal mold lately. Here is a recent lecture where she lays out a comparative analysis between the two most prominent grassroots conservative movements in America with the anti-Trump resistance organizations that grew up after November, 2016.

Harvard professor Skocpol is a Midwesterner by origin who speaks well to a non technical audience. Skocpol also speaks from firsthand knowledge of the Tea Party, having won their trust and received many invitations to attend their meetings. She has also co-authored a book about the Tea Party.
