Bio of Pierre Monteux by John Canarina

The name of the book is Maitre; Canarina was one of Monteux's pupils. It's a fascinating read. Has anyone else read this bio?
Good music is that which falls upon the ear with ease, and quits the memory with difficulty.

Yes! Anything regarding Pierre Monteux is of great interest to me. My good friend pianist/conductor John Covelli, was a protégé of Monteux, who also knew Canarina. Covelli is mentioned in the book. I got that book when it was first released. As you say: a fascinating read and recommend to all who love great music makers.
