Maestro Eliahu Inbal has recently been appointed as director of the Teatro la Fenice (opera) in Venice, for a four-year term beginning in September 2007, and of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, for a three-year period beginning in 2008. He previously served as director of the Venitian orchestra opera during the 1980s.
Inbal has contributed numerous recordings of the music of Berlioz, Donizetti, Mahler, Ravel, Liszt, Verdi, etc. [/i]
